Weekly challenge...again

I posted this one a while back and then took it down because I didn't want one of those adult content warning thingies. I decided to throw caution to the wind and repost(that and I don't think this is racy enough for a warning anyway). This was for the weekly challenge on the Cloud 9 forums, the title "girls kissing girls". *ahem*

New drawings...

I recently went to the San Diego Comic Con and and had the honor of meeting Dave McKean (well, more like stood in his presence and tried to remember my own name). Mr. McKean was kind enough to do a little drawing inside the book of his sketches I bought, gratis. I did a few drawings of my own, inspired by the man himself. Thanks Dave!

I had a lot of fun with these and thanks to one Mr. Anthony Waters I did more color wise than I would have normally.

NEW HERBALISER ALBUM!!!!

This is the first non-art post, something which I try to avoid (it is an *art* blog after all:)). So why have I thrown convention to the wind? Because the Herbaliser, one of my favorite acts EVAR, has released a new album, titled "Same As It Never Was". The amazon link is here or you can download it at www.bleep.com. Or you can march your little feet down to the record shop and pay them. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I have.

Dominance War III

This is more Dominance War 3 roughs. Some armor iterations. Crits welcome!

Refined the armor a bit and took my first stab at designing the artifact. The story is coming together but I want to wait until I have all the details worked out before I post.

This is the beginning rough sketch for my Dominance War III entry. You can view the on-going thread here or check back to my blog for further updates.

Full pager...

This was a full page illustration done for White Wolf Games. I forgot where it was and thanks to Mongsub Song, I found it. I might make a color piece out of this...
Monday, November 19, 2007

Paul Richards and I decided to do a color exercise and create a piece by color picking off an established painting. I got to choose this time so I chose this piece by Rick Berry. I did this one pretty quick and it started out as the chick from the movie Immortal (based on the Nikopol Trilogy by Enki Bilal) but looked more like Morpheus from Sandman. So, it's Morpheus.

Minotaur

This was the result of an exercise Paul Richards (fellow drawerer and friend) would do. Basically, you do a scribble on a psd and give it to the other person and they develop something out of it. I remember seeing a minotaur in the movie Time Bandits as a kid and have yet to see a cooler take on it. I think this is probably more than a little influenced by that :)
